Mace Smash doesn't work while using Riptide Trident

Using a riptide trident to descend quickly and collide with mobs usually uses the item in the main hand and the enchantments with it (e.g fire aspect with a sword). However, doing this with a mace does not deal any extra damage from the fall and does not always protect the player from the fall.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Have a trident enchanted with riptide in the offhand

2. Hold a mace in the main hand

3. /weather rain

4. Use the trident to go up and then descend quickly into a mob with speed and notice that the mob takes damage from the collision but it will not die from impact and sometimes the player will die of fall damage instead of the mace negating it
