When an item is placed into a shelf, it appears thinner than expected, making it look unusual when viewed from the side. Conversely, items placed into item frames do not share this behavior and look correct when placed into them, showing their full thickness, as if held from the hand. The cause of this bug is due to the items clipping a bit into the shelf, unlike in item frames.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Place an item (not a block or item rendered in 3D) into a shelf
Look at the item from the side
Expected result:
The itemโs full thickness is shown, like it does when in a item frame or when held in first-person
Actual result:
The item appears thinner than it should

Is this a bug though? Isnโt it a little bit more realistic that items arenโt sticking so much out of a shelf horizontally?
