Copper golem can't reach chest that is ontop of other chest

When you put two chests ontop of each other, deploy a copper golem, the copper golem can’t reach the top chest of the two stacks. This is very limiting and is likely a bug as copper golems can reach the top chest on Bedrock.
Environment
Put a chest on the ground, double or single, and put the same type of chest ontop of that chest.
