If you have a copy of the world available, you might like to upload a copy of it for investigation.
On Windows you can use the Export world feature.
On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS. (Please do not purchase a Realms subscription just to provide a world to us - but if you have a Realm already this may be a viable option if you wish to do so.)
If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.
Thank you for your patience while we continue to track this issue.
We have a couple of options for you to send us more information about this issue, if it is still ongoing for you:
You might want to install the Report A Problem app on Xbox, where you can submit a report to Xbox and then let us know of the ID reference of your submission.
Secondly, you might want to go into the Xbox Settings app and look up your global device id, and submit that through Mojang Support. (Please do not submit any identifiable information here at the public bug tracker.)
If you are no longer hitting this issue, please let us know.

For those affected on PlayStation and Switch, if you are able to provide a copy of the world save where the splitscreen inventory save data issue is happening it would be helpful.
Obtaining saves on these platforms is not always straightforward, but if you are able to download the world from a Realm on Windows, it should be possible.
On Windows you can use the Export world feature.
On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds
