Game crashes/becomes unresponsive after loading

After loading, the game will lag for a few seconds then the lag stops for a few seconds, and then the game crashes. Moving the mouse or giving any input makes it crash sooner, and sometimes there will be no pause in the lag before crashing. Another thing I noticed is that every time before the game crashes, the mouse pointer shows the loading circle. Sometimes the lag will stop and it will look fine until you try to change your skin but then it will crash. Another thing that is pretty weird is that intermittently it does not happen. Once or twice it worked and then it broke again

Hi!
Thank you for your report!

  • Could you provide you system specification?

  • Can you record and upload a video showcasing this issue?

  • Have you migrated from the UWP (version 1.21.114) for the first time?

Hello @[MCQA] jKakub

My system specifications are:

Device: Dell G15 Gaming Laptop
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon Graphics
RAM: 16GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU

Here is the video you asked for:

I am on version 1.21.123.

The error started happening when I migrated from version 1.21.122 to 1.21.123

I just upgraded from version 1.21.123 to version 1.21.124 and the bug is still happening.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the information provided so far. It would help us greatly if you were also able to provide for us some information about the crash, from your PC logs.

  1. Launch Event Viewer (Windows menu, type “Event Viewer”)

  2. Pick "Windows Logs" in the tree view on the left, then pick "Application"

  3. Look at events for things like Minecraft.

    1. With crashes you'll usually find an Error event with a source similar to "Application Error" that contains a reference the the Minecraft executable, and hopeful adjacent to that event is an Information event from the "Windows Error Reporting" source. That event should also reference the Minecraft executable. Inside that event there's a section at the bottom that looks something like this:

  • Analysis symbol:

  • Rechecking for solution: 0

  • Report Id: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Report Status: 100

  • Hashed bucket:

  • Cab Guid: 0

If you can send us those values it would help the team dig into the crash more thoroughly.

I apologize if jumping into the conversation is outside of protocol or disruptive, but I am having the same exact issue as described and shown in the video Timothy attached.

Device: Predator Helios Neo 16 Laptop
Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13500HX
RAM: 16GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU

I don’t know if it is helpful to answer your question meant for Timothy, but (I hope) there's no harm in trying since our issues are so similar. I was able to find my own Minecraft Application Error and the adjacent “Windows Error Reporting” event on my end:

Analysis symbol:
Rechecking for solution: 0
