Cannot change personal game mode.

Wanting to go into spectator mode in my family multiplayer world but I can only change the overall game mode. Personal mode is grayed out still even after changing the overall mode.

The personal game mode can only be accessed while the world is open. Does that explain your issue?

No it's when game is open that I cannot change it. I do it all the time to check new areas out and now when I need to look underground I cannot. I'm building a new adventure map for my kids and it is very difficult to do as I want to find strongholds and Chambers to modify but cannot.

Does this happen in every world for you?

If it’s only in one specific world, was that world created from a Marketplace template?

All worlds.

Haven't tried using the game mode cheat in chat bar as I'm using a controller without a chat pad so it would take longer to type it in than jumping into the menu.

Thank you for your report!

1 yes issue persists and has done for over a week. Checked on more than one device.

2 all accounts used to enter world are verified adult accounts.

3 it is my world so yes I do have operator privileges.

The fact that this and other issues like the lighting one have persisted for over a week shows what players call it Bugrock instead of Bedrock.

If you have a copy of the world available, you might like to upload a copy of it for investigation.

  • On Windows you can use the Export world feature.

  • On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS. (Please do not purchase a Realms subscription just to provide a world to us - but if you have a Realm already this may be a viable option if you wish to do so.)

If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.
