This issue is specific to 25w32a. Loaded ender pearls are now deleted when viewing the end credits for the first time. In prior versions, the pearl would permanently stop loading chunks after the end credits. (Also likely unintended behavior) (similar to MC-299770but instead of death it’s the end credits.)
Oddly, the ender pearl is not deleted (And continues to appropriately load chunks unlike prior versions.) when enderPearlsVanishOnDeath is set to false. Suggesting the game may think the player dies during the end credits.
To reproduce in example world:
Click the button that sets you to spectator mode and teleports you to your ender pearl location. Observe how ender pearl is present.
Teleport back to your spawn location /execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s -6.49 63.00 10009.60 359.33 39.47
Exit spectator mode.
Hop into the end portal block.
Kill the ender dragon with /kill @e[type=minecraft:ender_dragon]
Enter exit end portal, and trigger end credits.
Click the button to teleport back to your ender pearl.
Exit spectator mode
Observe how your ender pearl has been deleted.
