The cause of this issue is likely the same as the following Issues:
I’m too lazy to record a video, so just mark this issue as a duplicate of one of these issues.
Again, you can easily replicate the issue described by creating an end portal while underwater. (place an end portal block in an ocean biome and enter it).
/setblock ~ ~-3 ~ end_portal
Underwater ambience will continue to play while you are in the end dimension.
Confirmed this bug is still present in 25w31a. The fix for MC-289348 does not fix this bug.

End credits can also cause ender pearl chunks to permanently unload. Likely cause of MC-298184
Testing is needed to see if the fix for MC-289348 resolves this issue.
It seems this issue is the same as MC-299770 , but instead of the death of a player causing a pearls chunks to permanently deload, it’s the end credits.
@Jingy you can easily replicate this issue by using the example world in MC-299770, but instead of using /kill jump through the exit gateway portal, and trigger end credits.
@[MOD] Greymagic27 The intended behavior is the chunks SHOULD be loaded when you teleport in spectator mode. The death of your player is causing your pearls chunks to permanently deload, and they don’t reload upon your respawn. (you teleport in spectator mode to see if they are loaded with spectatorsGenerateChunks set to false).
Since they are not loaded for you, you have successfully replicated the issue.
With MC-289348 being fixed, it should be tested to see if whatever fix was made also fixed this issue.
This is not a bug. Objects that enter the end exit gateway portal are teleported to 0, 0
This includes your ender pearl.
Perhaps the teleport location could be changed to the world spawn location. (I think it already is? Maybe not the y axis?)
+1 am able to reproduce this issue. This bug is negatively impacting player experience.
I also made it easier to compare the different language pages. You can see that the English and Japanese pages only show "Taiwan", while the Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese pages DELIBERATELY show "Taiwan Province of China".

You can replicate this with 100% consistency by entering an end portal while underwater. You’ll end up with underwater ambience in the end dimension.
