Copper Golem statue is not possible - Copper Golem does NOT oxidize

Tried in survival and creative as well. The Copper Golem does not oxidize at all so to achieve the statue state is not possible. It was already a problem in the first Copper update Java snapshot and in this latest snapshot the problem remains.
