The vertical translation in model display settings is now always ignored for the on_shelf
display context, regardless of the item alignment on shelves. This differs from the intended behaviour of 25w33a which states in the changelog:
If false the items on the Shelf will ignore the vertical translation of the on_shelf item display transform and will be rendered vertically aligned to the middle of the Shelf
If true the items on the Shelf will be rendered upward from the bottom of the Shelf and will respect the vertical translation of the on_shelf item display transform
Steps to reproduce
Download and activate the example resourcepack (attached)
In 25w33a, place a cube block in a shelf (e.g endstone)
Place another cube block in a second shelf with the
align_items_to_bottom
blockstate set to trueNotice how the endstone is shifted upwards in the bottom aligned shelf as expected
Now in 25w34b, place a cube block in a shelf
Place another cube block in a second shelf with the
align_items_to_bottom
nbt tag set to trueNotice how the endstone is not shifted upwards as it should for the bottom aligned shelf
