I found an extremely strange bug. So in version of 1.21.5 I used the command /give @p minecraft:player_head[minecraft:profile="skipthetutorial"], and it gave me the correct player head. However, now I used the same command in the same version and it gave me a normal Steve head. I would say it’s because of the new fetchprofile command, but that didn’t give me the correct player head either. It did, however, work with other player skins for some strange reason. I used /fetchprofile name skipthetutorial, and then clicked “Give Item” and it gave me a Steve head. Maybe the reason it gave me a Steve head is because it errored out because it’s a pretty long username, but that doesn’t explain why it worked that one time. When I put the 1.21.5 command in a repeating command block, it just gave me many Steve heads, with the correct username, that filled out my inventory, and some of them occasionally stacked.
Side note but maybe also important: I brought the working player head to a 25w34b world and it reverted back to a Steve head, but I went to a world that had the working head on an armor stand, it loaded correctly. Then I went back to the first 25w34b world, the one that made it a Steve head, and it loaded the skin and the command gave me the correct head and it loaded the skin properly.
Sorry if this is difficult to follow or understand, but this genuinely happened and I have 0 clue why.

The issue seems to have resolved itself. Maybe the player skin servers caught up. You can mark this as resolved. Although it could pop up again for someone else, so don’t mark that issue as a duplicate of this one please.
The issue seems to be back.
in 1.21.8 input the command: /give @p minecraft:player_head[minecraft:profile="skipthetutorial"] in a command block and power it.
in 25w34b type: /fetchprofile name skipthetutorial in chat and then click ‘Give Item’ when prompted to to get the player head.
This happens often. Sometimes the player skin loads, sometimes it doesn’t. I really wish I knew why. It only applies to this player skin from what I’ve seen. Maybe it happens to other skins with longer names.
