Pressing the escape key to exit a furnace’s GUI doesn’t work in both 25w34a and 25w34b. It works fine in 1.21.8 and 25w33a.
This happens in Creative and Survival. When pressing the escape key, the screen briefly flashes and the GUI for the furnace remains open. Spamming the escape key and moving the cursor away from the furnace eventually brings up the game menu, with much difficulty, and then the game crashes. I have attached the bug report and a screenshot from a new creative world where I placed a furnace, opened it, and unsuccesfully tried to exit.

Good idea. I removed the few resource packs I was using, started a new creative world, and it still happened.
