When it starts or stops raining, in certain camera positions or angles you can see a patch of rain without the transition from rain to no rain, it remains like that for a few seconds.
That is, to see this, you need to be at night and have lighting around you to make it more noticeable. Use a flat world and torches on the ground to see it.
