It also happens with other elements. This bug is unpleasantly annoying, Mojang has to prioritize it so that Minecraft 26.2 can be played decently.

@WeirdPlop , This was tested on a server, but the same issue also occurs in player-created worlds. This didn't happen before (in previous versions). I'll check back later to provide testing, but that'll be later.

Confirmed. I'll clarify that this is intentional (I assume), because it's in every version and they don't adjust it to look right. This happens because of the SkyBox; if you disable the sky, sun, moon, and sunrise colors, you'll no longer see the chunks in the fog.
