Menu background blur significantly degrades performance on some systems

Whenever I press Escape [ESC] to pause my game, it ends up completely lagging out.

It only happens on these snapshot versions…

Tabbing out to the internet to switch videos is probably the cause.

As soon as I unpause the game, it returns to the normal frame rate. [144 fps] approximately.

The same does not occur when in the inventory OR on the main menu.

Environment

Windows 11, Java is up to date, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

I can’t reproduce this. Does changing the “Reduce FPS when: AFK” video setting to “Reduce FPS when: Minimized” fix the issue?

also that video should not have any audio, the culrpit video, it was an accidental overlay
