Starting in25w37a, I noticed triangular glitches on what I assume is all of the mobs(and myself) in the game, singleplayer and online. It isn’t exactly like Z-fighting or any other glitches I’ve seen before, but the angle the surfaces are facing me affects what the triangles look like and where they show up. The only mob I couldn’t see it affecting was bats, but that was just in the dark during normal play. This only happens on my desktop. No one else seems to have this problem either.
I’m happy to share whatever additional details are needed. Thank you!

@bdm68@bdm68@Shukesi I’m glad I am not the only one who has these. What version did you start seeing them in? Could you share a screenshot? Or any other information? I feel bad that I did not report this bug right away!
These visual glitches don’t appear randomly but appear in particular places on mobs. On cows they can be seen most easily on the snout, the corners of the back and the tips of the horns. I will attach a screenshot or two.
If sharing a clip of the phenomenon would help the devs, does anyone know how I should take and share a video here?
@bdm68 @bdm68 Thank you so much for replying and I do agree! It does look and behave a lot like Z-fighting, but there seems to be some differences, as far as I can tell.
I’ve been thinking, the shapes end up looking like triangles because it seems like there are dark squares all over, intersecting with the surface of the mobs. I notice it most with my dogs.
I created a test world and summoned a copper golem with this command:
/summon minecraft:copper_golem ~ ~ ~ {NoAI:1}
This allowed me to examine the behaviour of this bug more closely without the copper golem moving. A copper golem is a good test subject because it has many interesting surfaces.
I found the following:
It behaves like z fighting (but is likely to have a different cause).
The issue always appears at the edges and corners of the mob, never in the middle.
Moving the camera (turning the player) causes the location of the issue to move to a different corner.
The affected corner is often the corner closest to the cross hairs if the copper golem is observed front on. When observed diagonally, the affected corner is often the one furthest from the player.
The issue always appeared on horizontal surfaces, never vertical ones. This includes bottom surfaces when viewed from below. For the copper golem, these locations included the top of the lightning rod, top of the head, top of the shoulders, top of the nose, and similar flat planes when viewed from below.
También lo noté,están incorrectas las texturas de los mobs como externamente
