for some reason the copper golem statue’s arms are mostly inside its body in its “star pose” instead of coppected at the shoulders like the other poses and all other mobs. this looks really strange and is inconsistent with the other poses.
i thought this could be because its visual model needs to fit inside it’s 1 block physical hitbox, but considering for example the Ender Dragon Head, whose visual model extends almost an entire block beyond its physical hitbox, i came to the conclusion that this must be a bug. the copper golem’s visual model should look correct, and having parts that can phase through other blocks is completely normal in Minecraft. incorrect limb placement, however, is not.
and if it for some reason isn’t possible to have its arms connected properly, maybe just give it a different pose that actually works and looks correct.

No, that's how it works. It's just an aesthetic choice.
