This effect is most visible on white surfaces. To reproduce the second image, set the time to early morning with /time set 0d, and put any light source on a wide white surface. You can see the red and blue-ish pattern. (There are lanterns below the carpets in the image)
Similarly, put light sources under a white surface to recreate the first image (There are lanterns above the trapdoors). This yellow pattern persists during the entire day until the evening.
This effect seems to occur when block light and sky light are combined at certain intensities. While these examples are more on the extreme side, the varying hue can look unnatural in general. Previous versions didn’t have this issue or the yellow tint.
Can confirm. It’s especially noticeable when “Smooth Lighting” is turned off, and when it’s at sunrise or sunset.
