Mannequins in sleeping position fall through blocks when blocks below the legs are broken

I was testing mannequins in 1.21.10, but I noticed that when blocks are broken below the legs of the mannequin in the sleeping pose, they fall through to the blocks below.

EDIT: This also causes the entity to clip through blocks horizontally as shown in the video.

Environment

OS: Windows 11 64-bit
Java: Java 21.0.7 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i3-13100F
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 (581.29)

Please edit your report to change the Affected Version to the version shown on the Minecraft title screen

This is almost certainly intended, since MC-120784 is also intended and there is no precedent for an entity’s block collision being determined by its model rather than its hitbox (and it would be very expensive to do it that way).

Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.

Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
