Attenuation distance for some happy ghast sounds are hard coded

In 1.21.9, some happy ghast sounds were changed from playing at 16 blocks away to 64 blocks away, to match ghasts. I attempted to revert this change with a resource pack, but it didn’t work.

I have attached a resource pack that shows that “attenuation_distance" is set to “16”. I also changed the sound to a sniffer sound to prove that it’s not a syntax error on my part.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Apply my resource pack

  2. Summon a happy ghast in your world.

  3. Leash it to a fence so it doesn’t fly away

  4. Stay between 16-64 blocks away from it

Expected results:

The happy ghast should not be audible from 16-64 blocks away, because of the resource pack.

Actual results:

The happy ghast can still be heard.

Note that even though the attenuation distance is hard coded, changing the sound itself using sounds.json still works.
