My world disappeared after an update to the game. I found the old world after sifting through files and transferred it to the “saves” folder. Upon launching the game the world now appears with the folder title as its name but it is failing to load.
the following text appears :
“State from 08/10/2026, 23.12: java.util.zip.ZipException: Not in GZIP format

I found the world file in my local data and copied it straight over into the roaming>minecraft>saves folder. It cannot attempt to restore as no previous data is available?
I’d really like to restore this world please let me know if I need to provide any further info
