Random FPS drops? (3rd time uploading this because nobody helped) :(

In this report I will be talking about something that has been happening for a while

Ever since i started using minecraft again (may 2025) I have ran okay FPS like usual (in this video its ranging from 70-100).My problem is that there is randomly huge FPS drops. These go down to 1 FPS to 7 FPS, but it only happens for roughly 2-3 minutes.

This video is on a singleplayer, but this happens every version of minecraft ive played recently, even on Multiplayer, Singleplayer, etc.

The video shows my normal FPS from 0:00 to 1:18, and it shows the FPS drop from 1:21 to the end of the video.

(both of those were timestamps)

This really annoys me because i usually do PVP like i have always done, and this just basically loses me every game. I dont know why this has started happening but ive been really frustrated with it.

I also have the F3 menu open and you can see the drop.

One more thing, this happens on all clients, i have tried the original Minecraft Launcher (which is used in this video), Lunar Client, Feather Client, etc. I really just dont get whats going on with my game.

Thanks a lot!

Please do not make duplicate reports. The reason no one responded to your previous one is because there is not enough information that would enable anyone to reproduce the issue and conclude that it is a bug with the game. These kinds of reports are often closed as invalid because they are apparently technical issues rather than bugs.

This report will be resolved as a duplicate of your previous one. See the linked report for how to proceed from here.

have you updated your drivers? And does this appear on other apps or games?

And dont use any driver updaters, just go to intel.com and download drivers. AMD or Nvidia users should use their brands site respectively.

i have updated my drivers, on the last report i made one of the moderators sent me a new one on the intel site, the problem is still there @lentas
