Spear's range affects attack range overall.

After using the spear to get the attack indicator on a mob, the extra reach granted by the spear applied to other items. For example, holding out my sword I could attack with the extended range, same goes for fist, blocks, string, etc. I tried creating a new world, respawning, dropping the spear, but nothing worked.
