piston fails to update when quaisi connected redstone block is removed

How to repeat glitch

1: Place a sticky piston down with nothing powering it .

2: Place two redstone blocks on top of each other on top of the sticky piston.

3:Break redstone block in between the sticky piston and the redstone block.

4:Break the other redstone block.

5: Placing or breaking a block attached after the other steps, results in the sticky piston moving back .

After following the steps the pistons will look like this (see attached screen shot).

This bug may lead to some major failures in the redstone building community.

This is quasi-connection feature, and although it was considered as a bug at first, it is now a feature claimed by Mojang. Besides, this feature has existed since pistons were added. You can look it up on https://minecraft.wiki/w/Tutorial:Quasi-connectivity .
