Banner Model Texture Glitch

Steps to Reproduce the Issue

  1. Place one or more banners in the world (including Ominous Banners and normal colored banners).

  2. Move around the banners and view them from different angles/distances

  3. Observe the banner textures. From my testing, this bug occurs when the banners are visible near the left side of the screen.

Expected Result

The banners should consistently display their correct textures from all viewing angles and distances.

Actual Result

When viewed from certain angles—usually when the banners are on the left side of the screen—the textures appear to switch or flicker to unrelated textures.

  • For normal colored banners, they turn completely white when viewed up close and behave similarly to the Ominous Banner’s behavior from a greater distance.

  • For the Ominous Banner, the texture glitches much more severely, showing completely different textures as the camera moves.
    This occurs in pure vanilla Minecraft (no resource packs or data packs).

Environment

Flat world, originally found in my Survival World. From what I've found, this is purely based on the angle the model is looked at from, and distance from the model.
