In this version, I noticed by chance in the village that the texture of the brown banner changes at a certain viewing angle.

As I covered in my report, I have only been able to reproduce this on upgraded worlds that already had banners, not on new worlds, or upgraded worlds in which banners did not already exist. MC-302675 has a similar behavior, perhaps related?
I had been able to recreate this bug in a new world, but not right away. It took around 3 minutes for the banners who were correctly textured to bug and become white.
Confirmed. From some angles, the banners appear plain white; from others, they show glitchy texturemaps; see attached.
I don’t know if it’s solely the viewing angle that affects this, I seem to be able to get it to change by moving the player to very odd positions also (including flying above and looking down on it)
The white portion appears to be an animated texture (black lines moving from right to left), the lower portion looks like the shelve's textures
Can confirm, pillager’s banners are showing rotating texture maps in my world. Rotating between tinted green clocks, brushes, clay, dyes, eggs, buckets, and harnesses on one, recovery compasses, fish, bundles, pie, and overlapping textures I can’t place on the second, and an animated white background with cyan lines moving across with cherry and birch shelves on the bottom on the third.
My testing concludes that this issue is also causing other issues like MC-302669. Please see my comment on that ticket for an explanation.
