The texture on the flag held by the Marauder mob renders incorrectly when viewed from a distance. At close range, the flag appears normal, but as the player moves away, the texture becomes distorted and glitched.
Steps to Reproduce
Find or spawn a Marauder in the world.
Observe the flag texture from a close distance (it appears normal).
Gradually move away from the Marauder.
Observe the flag texture again from a far distance. The texture will now appear corrupted.
Expected Result
The flag texture should render correctly at all distances, using appropriate Level of Detail (LOD).
Actual Result
The flag texture becomes a distorted, low-resolution mess or displays visual artifacts when viewed from afar.
I suspect this bug might be related to a specific graphics setting. The corrupted flag texture first appeared after I had changed my graphics options. When the Marauders spawned in, one of them immediately had this broken flag. The issue now persists even if I revert the settings.
Environment

I'm not using any resource packs. This is the vanilla game texture bug.
