Donkeys don't enter love mode when fed golden apples/carrots

I could not get this report to save my video which was only 9 seconds long. It showed that when I fed a horse a golden carrot, hearts appeared around the horse. When I then fed a donkey a gold carrot, no hearts appeared and no baby mule was created. The same happens with golden apples. This is not a complex activity, so I don’t see what more information is needed.

Donkeys have to be tamed in order to enter love mode when fed.
