In 1st person, initiating the charge attack state directly after performing a jab attack causes the jab attack’s animation to not play correctly, as the charge attack’s animation overrides the jab’s completely. This causes poor visual feedback, as it looks like no jab was performed at all, despite the sound of one playing and the attack cooldown for it activating. This is not an issue in 3rd person, as both the 3rd person charge attack animation and the 3rd person jab attack animation can play together for a combined visual effect, as expected.
In the first attachment (the one that shows the issue in 1st person), note how when I initiate a charge attack directly after a jab attack, the spear appears to not jab at all. In the second attachment, note how doing the same action allows both animations to play simultaniously as expected.
Expected Result: Performing a charge attack directly after a jab attack allows the two’s 1st-person animations to play together, like they do for their 3rd-person animations.
Observed Result: Performing a charge attack directly after a jab attack causes the jab attack’s animation to be overriden, causing poor visual feedback.
