With 1.21.11’s changes to mipmapping, iron bars become impossible to see through at all once the player is sufficiently distant.
To reproduce, create a large wall of these blocks and view it from far away enough.
This may be fixable by changing the mipmap properties of the textures used, though it may also require introduction of a separate texture file for the “edges” of bars so that they can retain the old behaviour and not become transparent at a distance.
