Spamming right click and shift when getting into boat gives a speed boost

I beleive I can reproduce this somewhat, but not to the same extend as shown in the video

I think I understand why this happens, but take this with a grain of salt.

Every tick the game reports the distance from the boat you are(I think) after you click it. If you happen to unshift during the “teleportation” to the boat, the speed you are at when being moved to it will be applied after you dismount the boat, because the game hasn’t noticed you in the boat yet. This results in a speed boost relative to your distance from the boat, not the spammage of the buttons.
