In survival mode, a candle on top of the cake stays in place, but if I go back one block and click to place another candle on the cake, the candle appears in front of me instead of refusing to place the candle. If I crouch on a high block, it happens, but it only places a candle if I am aiming at the candle and not the cake. It even happens on the side of the candle, with it lit and even on top of the cake.

This report does not describe a bug.
Placing blocks while looking at the side of a block places them on that side of the block.
