Unsure if intentional feature. When exiting the book and quill UI using the escape key, any text that was added while the UI was open gets deleted. Text remains when clicking on the “Done” button.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-73353, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has been resolved as working as intended, which means that this will not be fixed as it is not considered a bug.
