To reproduce:
(Kill the dragon, then) place 4 end crystals to start respawning the ender dragon.
Destroy the end crystals during the animation by creating any explosion INSIDE the end fountain. (Not on the rim). For example, place TNT next to the center pillar and light it.
The end crystals are destroyed, and the animation stops as expected. HOWEVER - end portal blocks targeted by the explosion are ALSO destroyed. The result is that the exit portal is not fully restored - there are missing portal blocks.
Thankfully the center pillar blocks some of the blast, so the portal blocks on the other side of the pillar from the explosion arenβt all destroyed. If the player could remove the bedrock pillar quickly enough, they could blast all the portal blocks and soft lock.
Only the first explosion triggered can destroy end portal blocks. If there are multiple explosions, e.g. lighting 2 TNT with one button, only 1 of the TNT will destroy end portal blocks.
