Closing a GUI resets all held down keys on MacOS

Steps to reproduce:
Join any world on Minecraft Java using macOS.
Open your inventory or other GUI such as a chest.
Start holding down the move forward key.
While still holding down the move forward key, close the GUI.

Expected result:
As soon as the GUI is closed the player begins moving forward like they do on Windows and Linux systems.

Actual Result:
When the GUI is closed, nothing happens and the player does not move forward until they release the key and start holding it again.

This means that on macOS it is much harder to perfectly time certain jumps that require pressing both the jump key and the move forward key at exactly the same time by starting to hold them with the inventory open.

Environment

macOS Tahoe 26.1
MacBook Air, M1 2020
Using the builtin keyboard
