So I got a gold pickaxe from a nether portal chest that gas Fortune 1, whenever I use it to break Iron, Diamonds and other ores it just breaks the block without dropping anything; no block no ores.
It does drop some coals but isn't affected by fortune.

However, this issue is Working as Intended.
The report you have submitted is working as intended: Golden tools are incorrect tools for the mentioned blocks, that is why they do not drop anything.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, Redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
