Rabbits are supposed to avoid monsters, however, they are not scared of the following mobs:
Camel Husk
Ender Dragon
Ghast
Hoglin
Magma Cube
Phantom
Shulker
Skeleton Horse
Slime
Zombie Horse
Zombie Nautilus
This is because: The ender dragon, ghasts, hoglins, magma cubes, phantoms, shulkers and slimes only count as “enemies“ in the game code, instead of monsters. The same is true for camel husks, skeleton horses, zombie horses and zombie nautiluses, counting only as animals and not enemies as well. As rabbits are programmed to run away from “monsters“ they ignore all of the 11 above mentioned mobs.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Summon a rabbit and one of the above mentioned mobs nearby, the rabbit will not run away.
Expected result:
The rabbit runs away when nearby these monsters.
Actual result:
The rabbit does not run away.
