I found out this when I enchanted my dimond spear with Sharpness IV. When I enchanted it, the game did show the Sharpness enchantment, but the damage hasn’t been increase at all. At first I thought it was a visual bug, but it wasn’t, it still takes the same 4 hits to kill a zombie as it did without sharpness.
I’ve attached a picture below displaying the bug.
