Non-square animated textures render black with certain mipmap levels

Animated textures with a non-square frame size appear as solid black as of 1.21.11 if mipmap levels are set to 4x.

How to reproduce:

  1. Activate the non-square-animations.zip resourcepack (attached)

  2. Set mipmap levels to 4x in video settings

  3. Notice how oak planks appear as solid black

  4. Now set mipmap levels to 3x or lower

  5. Notice how oak planks have an animated texture as expected

Can also confirm
Breaks and becomes black on mipmap 4, but works on mipmap 3

I tested this on every mipmap level (including OFF) and mipmap at 4 turned up a completely black block, while 3 and lower showed a stretched and sliced up Oak Planks block, as others have demonstrated similarly

I don't believe this report to be invalid, this issue can be reproduced in a vanilla game and has been by a few people in the comments already. I also don’t believe this new behaviour is intentional, as there was no mention of it in the changelogs (other than the somewhat related technical changes to how animated textures are handled by the game). As far as I'm aware, non-square animated textures are a supported feature so I believe this should be looked at
