Custom Minecraft Skin Not Loading

A few days ago, I changed my custom Minecraft skin, just the pants and a little bit of the torso (outside layers only). For some reason, the skin was fully functional on my desktop but not my laptop, even though they are both HP computers with Windows 11. I have restarted Minecraft on my laptop countless times to try to get it to work. I connected to Hypixel with the issue and another player accurately described my custom skin but on my screen, it appeared as Sunny (the default skin assigned to my UUID). Switching back to the old skin fixes the issue. I have attached pictures of the skins. The one with black pants is the new one that doesn’t work and the one with blue shorts is the old one that worked. It could be because I added more colors and my laptop can’t read them for some reason?

Just tested in 1.8.9 and the skin loaded properly in both multiplayer and singleplayer. 26.1 snapshot 5 also had the skin appear as Sunny, however. The issue applies to other 1.21 versions as well. The issue persisted even after disabling outer layers and cape.

Looks like deleting assets\skins, assets\objects, and launcherprofiles.json fixed my issue.

Could not reproduce on 1.21.11 or 26.1-snapsshot-5.

If you can still reproduce this issue then you should attach a video.

I fixed it by deleting assets\skins, assets\objects, and launcherprofiles.json so it was probably just something that only let me have the skin with shorts as the custom skin. Maybe there was a corrupted file somewhere?
