The new chat restrictions pose a problem for underage developers, if chat is barred entirely, acces the commands will be lost.
Bar yourself from chat and you will see.
I expected the game to simply stop chat messages from being sent.
Instead it bars the entire chat, which, along with intended effect of barring underage communication, also, do to an oversight, stops the user from using basic commands (/give, /gamemode, etc.)

You can use mods to get around this because I live in britain and have not verified my age but thanks to mods I can still use chat --- fully
