When the input method switching key is Ctrl + Space, nothing happens when pressing the spacebar while holding Ctrl and moving

The bug:

When you set your input method switching key to Control + Space, and press the spacebar while holding Control when the player is in moving state, The game will do nothing.

This bug affects 26.1 Snapshot 10, which means that the input method problems still affect the game after MC-91132 was fixed.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set the input method switching key to Control + Space.

  2. Enter a world and press W, A, S, or D to move.

  3. Press the spacebar while long-pressing Control. (When processing this step, make sure you’re still moving.)

Expected result:

The player will jump forward, and the sprinting state will not be interrupted by this.

Actual result:

The player just keeps sprinting.

The default settings for switching between Chinese and English modes in Microsoft Pinyin Input Method are the Shift key or Ctrl+Space. Therefore, when I press Shift, I can sneak; but when I press Ctrl+Space, I cannot jump. That is to say, pressing Ctrl+Space+W only makes me sprint forward without jumping.

Microsoft Pinyin Input Method is the default input method for Microsoft Windows. Please consider fixing this issue.

Affects 26.2-snapshot-8.

still affects 26.2-pre-2

In the 26.3 Snapshot 4, this issue appears to have been resolved.

During the period from 26.3 Snapshot 4 to 26.3 Snapshot 8, the issue was fixed. Starting from 26.3 Snapshot 9, the issue reappeared (the Microsoft IME has no problem, but the third-party input methods have problems).
