Opening the commands and looking into gamerule trying to turn off firetick the command for doFiretick is not there at all. I have tried in a few different worlds and it just isnt there so right now i cant play dont want to burn my house down

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Working as Intended.
The command has been updated, try this one:
/gamerule minecraft:fire_spread_radius_around_player 0
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
