When running the locate command near the world boundary, sometimes it will point to targets that are outside the world boundary.
How to reproduce:
Step 1: Create a new world with this seed: “-8687590040331227506”
Step 2: Teleport to 29999950 66 29999950
Step 3: Run the command: “/locate biome minecraft:snowy_plains” or “/locate structure minecraft:desert_pyramid”
Expected behaviour: The command points to an instance of the biome/structure that’s inside the 30 million block boundary.
Actual behaviour: The snowy plains command points to “30001070 66 29998446”, the desert pyramid command points to “30001744 ~ 30002368”, both of which are outside the 30 million block boundary, as such the teleport command provided by the locate command fails.
