Placing sulfur springs using /place does not update the affected blocks

When running /place for the sulfur_spring it does not appear unless you re log, does not seem to be an issue with any other feature for /place.

The first image is the command being run and the second is after a re log

Steps to recreate:

  1. run /place feature minecraft:sulfur_spring

  2. quit to title

  3. join world again

Confirmed. Relates to MC-248248

Additional details I’ve found through testing

  • The ghost blocks still have collisions

  • Placing a block where there is supposed to be sulfur, potent sulfur, or a magma block makes that block appear
