NVIDIA proprietary driver on Linux freezes and crashes the game with a segmentation fault (Error code 11) after a short while, OpenGL works fine

The game after a short time will freeze and crash with exit code 11 (Segmentation Fault)

If you are able to set the graphics api to “Prefer OpenGL” in time, the game will be able to run correctly

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install 26.2-snapshot-1 on a Linux system with an Nvidia GPU (in this case the RTX 3050 mobile) using the NVIDIA (Proprietary) driver.

  2. Make sure the graphics api is set to Vulkan

  3. Observe the game running fine for a little bit before freezing and crashing with Exit Code 11

Observed Behavior:

The game freezes and crashes with Exit Code 11 after a short while of running

Expected Behavior:

The game runs fine and does not freeze and crash with Exit Code 11
