The nausea effect does not effect the player, if the player is fully submerged in the potent sulfur water

In 26.2 snapshot-2, if the player is fully submerged in water that has a potent sulfur block under, the player won’t get the nausea effect. However if the player’s feet are in the top water block it will give the player the effect, as intended.

**I am not sure if this is an intended feature, I thought I would just bring it up while I’m here.**

I noticed this too, tested it again and can confirm that this is also the case for MacOS Tahoe.

Thanks for testing!

Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Working as Intended.

Particle cloud going up 1 block starting from the surface of the top water block is what that gives players the Nausea effect. If underwater bubbles don't reach the surface, then there will be no nausea.

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
