Issues with Intel Arc Graphics on Linux with Vulkan

I hopped onto Minecraft to try out the performance boost Vulkan would provide over open gl, but upon loading up a world I would get 20-40 fps on fancy settings, compared to the800-1000+fps in fancy with open gl. The only way I could get past 100fps in vulkan was turning everything down to fast settings and my gpu can handle much more powerful things.
