Touching a geyser eruption doesn't make entities wet

Being in contact with a geyser eruption does not count as being wet, unlike when it’s raining. This means that burning mobs won’t be extinguished by it, mobs weak to water won’t take damage and the Riptide enchantment won’t activate, among other things.

Expected behaviour: Entities in contact with geyser eruptions count as being wet, like with rain.

Observed behaviour: Entities in contact with geyser eruptions do not count as being wet, unlike with rain.

Suggested fix: Change it so that an entity in contact with a geyser eruption counts as being wet, in the same way as rain.
