I would like this fixed for ravagers, and treated as an intentional feature for witches because it’s goofy.

If you had checked the wiki or otherwise done any research before submitting this, you would know this is not a bug.

Tripwire hooks and jukeboxes used to have stone sounds, and now have wood sounds.

Redstone repeaters, comparators and levers used to have wood sounds, and now have stone sounds.

All of these changes were treated as bugfixes.

In other words, if a block has sound effects that don’t make sense for the material it’s made of, it’s a bug.

That being said, I would be okay with them only changing anvils, cauldrons and hoppers, because they are the ones that make the most sense. It’s up to them though.

Can confirm in 25w32a.

Suggested fix: give them the same fall damage reduction as frogs.

Can confirm in 25w31a. This bug also applies to trapped chests and copper chests.

This bug also affects copper golem mechanics as a side effect. Because copper golems tend to look through chests when they don’t need to, but are unable to open blocked chests, it’d be useful to use comparators and sticky pistons to control which chests golems will interact with based on the chest contents. This bug makes doing such a thing pretty much impossible, though.

Relates to MC-169346 and MC-87174.

Also doesn't work in Adventure Mode.

Can confirm in 24w18a. This issue also affects lighting things on fire using Fire Aspect tools in Adventure Mode, as shown (indirectly) with MC-271410.

Can confirm in 24w18a. This issue also affects lighting things on fire using Fire Aspect tools in Creative Mode, as shown with MC-271410.

Although this issue technically has been fixed, it doesn't work in Creative or Adventure mode due to MC-271410.
